Here’s how to change the oil yourself on a 2013 Honda CBR 250R motorcycle. The process is very similar to other CBR motorbikes. Here are the parts that you will need to purchase before proceeding:
- Engine Oil – I used GN4 10W-40 Pro Honda
- Oil Filter – P/N: 15410-KYJ-901
- Oil Filter Cap Gasket – P/N: 15412-KYJ-901
And I also used the following tools:
- a rear bike stand
- an oil pan
- a funnel
- gloves
- 5 millimeter allen key
- 12 and 8 millimeter sockets
- socket wrench
- new engine oil
- oil filter
- compression washer
- and oil cap gasket
One of my subscribers asked for this DIY a while back. I change my oil every 8,000 kilometers but the frequency will depend on things like the climate and your riding habits. Don’t forget to dispose of the old oil properly and don’t just pour it in the sewer or toilet. Check your local waste disposal facility.
Ride safe and thanks for watching.
